Natalie V. Brokaw

1923 - 2014

Natalie V. Brokaw, 90, of Kenosha, died on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, with her loving family at her side at the Hospice House of Racine.

Born in Lake Geneva on July 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Carolyn (Fabian) Vogt. She was a graduate of Lake Geneva High School. On Sept. 18, 1948, at First Congregational Church, she was united in marriage to Robert Brokaw. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2013.

Natalie had been employed with the Kenosha Visiting Nurses Association. She enjoyed golfing, bridge, line dancing, traveling to Europe, and wintering in Palm Springs, Calf. In her younger years, she had served as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Larry) Kexel; granddaughter, Elizabeth; brother, Cliff (Jenny) Vogt; sister-in-law, Virginia Augustine; and her loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Diane.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Natalies life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A gathering of relatives and friends will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice Alliance, Inc., 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd. Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Hospice Alliance, especially to Pat, Edith, Jolina, and JoAnne.
