Achille Kelly Covelli

1941 - 2014

Achille Kelly Covelli, 72, a resident of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 28, 2014, at Aurora Medical Center.

Kelly was born Aug. 2, 1941, to Bennie and Julia (Costanzo) Covelli. He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and was educated in the local schools.

Kelly was a successful automobile dealer, owning and operating several used car dealerships in Kenosha. He opened his first car lot at a young age in the 1960s called Rambler Drive Auto Sales on 60th street. He also owned Jenny Motors and Marquis Motors. He was well respected in his field and through the years many dealers would call him for advice and estimates when buying and setting up their dealerships.

He enjoyed all sporting events but especially loved to watch his favorite team, the Chicago Bears on Sundays. Kelly was a very good golfer and after 18 holes he would enjoy a few races at Dairyland Dog Track with close relatives and friends.

The greatest joy of Kellys life was his love for his family and for his children especially. He attempted to see all the games that his grandchildren played in, whether it was basketball or baseball, and he was delighted to be able to share in their lives.

Kelly will be sadly missed by his children, Richard, Todd, Jennifer, Julie and Jamie Covelli, Todd Huff, Paul (Billie Jo) Huff, Bristol and Michelle (Scott) Quilling of Eagle, Wis. He is survived by 14 grandchildren, Jessica, Crystal, Joseph, Nicolas, Brittani, Anthony, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Rylan, Roman, Parker, Cooper, Hayden and Aaron as well as three great grandchildren, Alysha, Aniyah and Emilia.

He is further survived by Linda, the love of his life for 40 years, and by his mother and his brother Bernie. He will be missed by his Uncle Paul (Ann) Costanzo, Uncle Guy DiBella of Chicago and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kelly was preceded in death by his father.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014, at 12 noon at St. Marks Catholic Church in Kenosha. (7117- 14th Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. Burial will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.

Kellys family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. James Santarelli and his staff, to the Aurora ICU staff and to the staff of Parkside Manor for the compassionate care that he received.
