Leon W. Mueller

1920 - 2014

Leon W. Mueller, 93, passed away peacefully June 7, 2014, at Manor Care.

Leon was born Dec. 26, 1920, in Shelby County, Ill. He was the son of the late Wesley and Mae (Bales) Mueller.

Leon was educated in the schools of Shelby County. He worked in Motor Repair for AMC for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Military Police. He married Dorothy Antrim on Jan. 31, 1946, in Kenosha; she later died. He then married Hulda Reinke on Aug. 9, 1952, in Kenosha. He loved to hunt, fish, doing woodworking and travel.

Survivors include his wife, Hulda of Kenosha; two children, Sandra (Jim) Taylor of Henderson, Tenn., Donald (Ann) Mueller of Brodhead; two brothers, Russell Mueller of Effingham, Ill., Wesley (Dolly) Mueller of Houston, Texas.; three sisters, Clara (Willis) May, Grace (Robert) May, Laura (Larry) Coen, all of Neoga, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Ann Kirby; a brother, Calvin; two sisters, Maryann and Vanola.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Kenosha Funeral Services.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Kenosha Funeral Services with burial to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
