John J. Arendt

1954 - 2014

John J. Arendt, 59, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 13, 2014, at Kenosha Hospital.

He was born on Aug. 17, 1954, to the late Eugene and Lois (Dunham) Arendt in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.

John worked in the traffic department for Jupiter Transportation for several years.

John volunteered at food pantries and shelters around town for many years. He loved cats and enjoyed going to Kindred Kitties.

John is survived by his siblings, Douglas Arendt of Racine, Carol Nelson of Mt. Hope, Wis., Merrilyn (Jim) Momeyer of St. Marys, Oh., Gail (Robert) Hawkes-Hayes of Ft. Worth, Tex., Edie (Brent) Bowen of Holland, Michigan, Penny (David) Carlino of Kenosha, Paul (Lorrie) Arendt of Kenosha and Laurie Cosenza of Kenosha. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by a sister Jeanne Gifford and his best friend for over 40 years Don Franks.

The family would like to thank the many caregivers for their compassionate care over the years.

A Memorial Service for John will be held at a later date.
