Mary MacGillis Capelli (February 28, 1931 July 19, 2014), wife of Dr. Paul A. Capelli, passed away peacefully in her home after a short illness. Mary met her husband when she and Paul were students at Marquette University. They married in 1955 and would have soon celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

Mary graduated in 1952 as a Speech and Hearing Therapist. She was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society, and Gamma Pi Epsilon, the Womens Honorary Society of Marquette University.

Mary left teaching as a speech therapist in Milwaukee Public Schools to raise her family of ten children. She considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment. Her children and grandchildren brought her tremendous joy.

Mary continued her education in nursing at Gateway Technical College, subsequently practicing as an ambulatory obstetrics nurse with her husband for fifteen years.
