Janice Florence Testard
1953 - 2014
Janice Florence Testard, 61, of Kenosha, died on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, after a long battle with COPD, which weakened her heart.
Janice was born on July 30, 1953, to Herbert and Darlene (Minett) Sampica, in Waukegan, Ill. She attended St. Anastasia Grade School and Holy Child High School in Waukegan. The family moved to Kenosha, Wis., when she was in High School. Upon graduation, Janice worked at Victory Memorial Hospital in the cashiering department before marrying and leaving the state. Janice lived many places in her lifetime including Japan, Arizona, New Mexico, Illinois, and made Kenosha her home for the past 30 years. She will be remembered for her big smile, love of people, and fondness for coffee clutching with friends.
Survivors include her loving husband, Richard Testard of Kenosha; her children, Duane DJ Osmond of Orlando, Fla., Christopher (Kelly) Osmond of Va., Alicia Bond of Crawfordville, Fla., and Gloria Bond of Summerville, S.C.; along with many grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Carolyn (Michael) Mustell of White Bluff, Tenn., and Lynette (Bernie) Powers of Racine, Wis.; and her brothers, Jim (Lisa) Sampica of Anamosa, Iowa, and Tom (Margie) Sampica of Kenosha, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Darlene Sampica; and a son, Jeremy Lambert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Aug. 11, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 4816-7th Avenue, Kenosha at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum, 3300 Springbrook Road, Pleasant Prairie. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
