Virginia B. Ginny Pitts

1921 - 2014

Virginia Ginny Pitts, 93, of Kenosha peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at United Hospital St. Catherines Campus.

Virginia was born June 7, 1921, in Kenosha. She was the daughter of the late William Nelson Badham and Ella Amanda Bierbaum. On June 27, 1942, she married Jimmie Milton Pitts, at the Trinity Lutheran Church Parsonage. He died Jan. 23, 1987. Virginia attended Roosevelt Elementary, McKinley Jr. High, and Kenosha Senior High School. She was a member of Kenosha Senior Citizens, Senior Action Council, I.A.M. Lodge 34 Retirees Club, American Association of Retired Persons, and the Tri-Clover Graduates. She was an animal lover, and enjoyed making crafts.

Survivors include her sons, John M. (Maxine) Pitts Sr. of Kenosha, and Mark J. (Esther) Pitts of Shawano, Wis.; her daughter, Sandra (Ron) Drythout of Raymond, Wis.; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie, and brothers, Clyde and William Badham.

A memorial gathering will be held Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 3 p.m. 5 p.m. with memorial services to follow at 5 p.m. Burial at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
