John Bartosiewicz Obituary

John J. Bartosiewicz

1944 2014

John J. Bartosiewicz, 69, of Kenosha passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at his residence.

Born in Worcester, Mass. on June 8, 1944, he was the son of the late Napoleon and Albina (Zacharewicz) Bartosiewicz. Raised and educated in Massachusetts, John was proud of the time he played with the St. Marys Catholic High School basketball team and received All City All Star recognition.

John served our country in the U.S. Air Force from Feb. 2, 1964 until his honorable discharge on Feb. 2, 1968.

He was employed as a driver with UPS for 34 years. John held an extensive DVD collection and loved sharing his library with family and friends. He had a love of Polka music, but his true love was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

John will not only be remembered for his incredible, witty and uncanny sense of humor, but also as a selfless, compassionate and generous man, who always put others first. He will be deeply missed by his three daughters, Andrea Bartosiewicz, Jessica (John) Polli and Debra (Daniel) Drumheller; his son, John (Jackie) Bartosiewicz; six grandchildren, Kyle Mayou, Aleah, Jackson, Lexi and Ellie Bartosiewicz and Isabella Drumheller. John is further survived by his extended family in Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 1444 30th Avenue. Inurnment will be held in Massachusetts at a later date. A visitation for John will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or online at [email protected], would be appreciated by the family.
