Robert Victor Bob Preston

Robert Victor "Bob" Preston, 84, of Kenosha passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Brookside Care Center with his loving family by his side.

Bob was born and raised in Kenosha and attended Kenosha schools. He married his high school sweetheart on July 29, 1950, at St. Marys Lutheran Church and would have celebrated his 64th wedding anniversary. He believed in hard work and was an electrician by trade. He proudly owned his own company, Preston Electric. He was a member of the Danish Brotherhood and the Elks Club. He enjoyed spending his time off up north hunting, boating and fishing. His other hobbies were ballroom dancing and he was on numerous bowling leagues. Bob was an avid sports fan with his favorite teams being the Packers and the Brewers. He carried with him all the time, sour Jelly Bellys which he loved. Bob Preston was a loving husband and devoted father with a strong yet quiet demeanor. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by, his parents, Victor and Edith (West) Preston.

Bob is survived by, his wife of 64 years, Joyce of Kenosha; four children, Vicki (Gene) Noel of Burlington, Sharon (Melvin) Conner of Wild Rose, William (Carolyn) Preston of Kenosha and Thomas Preston of Racine; nine grandchildren, Mary (Bob) Polzin, Terri (Jay) Kessler, Jason Cooper, Justin (Emily) Conner, Brandon Conner, Kim (Scott) Diers, Kristin Noel-Stam, Leah Preston and Robert Preston; nine great grandchildren, Stefanie (Tom) Hansen, Christopher Kessler, Jeremy Kessler, Austin Strowig, Gavin Stam, Killiam Conner, Autumn Stam, Delaney Conner and Liam Conner; his brother, Thomas (Jean) Preston, as well as many other family and friends.

Funeral service for Bob will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home with interment to follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a in Bobs memory would be greatly appreciated.
