DAY Judith Queen, 62, wife of Richard "Rick" Day, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at her residence. Born in Springfield, OH, she was a daughter of the late William and Reba Queen. She was a retired school teacher at Lafayette High School and a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church. Survivors other than her husband are a son, Robert Watson Day, Boston. Funeral services will be 12pm Monday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6pm Sunday. Contributions to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504.

Mrs. Day was loved by many, and news of her passing a truly sad event. My thoughts are with you all as you face this time. May your fond memories of her and the knowledge that she made a difference in the lives of so many help bring solace. With deepest sympathy.

So sorry to hear about Mrs. Day's passing. She was one of my favorite teachers and a huge encouragement as I went though school and got my education degree. She will be missed.

My prayers are with Judy's family during this very sad time. She and I taught together at Lafayette for several years and Judy was a delightful person and wonderful teacher. She will be remembered for her sweet and upbeat personality.
