Finally had the courage today to look at the obituaries. I had done Mary's hair every month for 15 years and when she missed her last appt I feared the worst. I love her more than you know and I cannot express my sorrow at her passing. Know that when last we spoke she was positively going on and on with love for her family. I will miss our regular conversations so very much.
My deepest sympathy,

This morning I walked into my kitchen and up on the refrigerator is a picture of Mary and my daughter from several years ago. That picture has been there for years and I look at it often and remember fun times from the past. I worked with Mary for several years at meadows east. mary loved when Lauren would come to work with me and Lauren always loved seeing Mary.
The first thought I had after I heard the news was, God now has his zoo keeper!!!!! I have so many wonderful memories of Mary and many have random animals in them ha,ha. I use to say I think she could smell an animal when it entered the parking lot. I remember a duck started walking around the property, over the course of a few days Mary figured out that it was blind so she decided he needed to live on a farm where he wouldn't have to worry about traffic. She visited that duck several times everyday talking to him and feeding him. A few days later, I walked into the rehab room and heard some noise coming from the bathroom when I opened the door there sat Mary with that duck swimming around in the tub. A full size adult duck swimming in the tub!!!!!!!! Mary found someone who owned a farm and that duck found his home in the country.
This and many other animal and human compassion stories is the way I will remember Mary, until I see her again in heaven. Love and prayers to all her family.

To Mary's family - I am stunned and saddened at your loss. I just got to know Mary when she came to work here at Treyton Oak Towers, but was struck by her kindness and compassion from the beginning. She was wonderful at encouraging residents to engage in activities, and I was very grateful for her efforts and support.
I've been having some foot/ hip issues for a few months and Mary was always empathetic and encouraging of me personally as well. Have been off since 12/14 due to foot surgery - will certainly miss her warm, positive, giving soul when I return to work.
She was a blessing to all who had the good fortune of meeting her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mary was so kind to everyone. She gave everything she had to this life and touched so many people. I cannot remember one moment where she ever had a frown on her face for more than a second and her happiness was infectious. Thank you Mary for being the type of person that others want to be like, compassionate, loving, and turly kind. I am glad to have known you and will miss you.
