Rolfe Kruckas Obituary

KRUCKAS Rolfe F., 69, husband of Jeannie Pelfrey Kruckas, died Tue, Oct 1, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital East. Born in Ozone Park, NY on Aug 1, 1944, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Helen Kazel Kruckas. He was a 1966 graduate of Vanderbilt University, a retired chemical engineer for IBM/Lexmark, and a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors other than his wife include four daughters, Wendi (Jarrod) Ward, Aleia (Mark) Hillis, Sherri (Daniel) Brindle, and Sarah (Shannon) Stowers; two step-sons, Scott and Benjamin Congleton; one step-daughter, Tasha (Todd) Smith; eleven grandchildren, Courtney Heinlein, Rylie Grace Ward, Aubrey Hillis, Rolfe Brindle, Luke Whealan, Keegan and Daniel Congle-ton, Rolfe Michael and Lillian Smith, and Sarah and Brooke Congleton; one sister, Elaine Jamal; and a nephew, Khim Jamal. Funeral services will be held 12:30pm Sat at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrods-burg Rd. by Pastor Whit Criswell, Pastor Kenny Speaks, and Pastor Steve Gehring. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8pm Fri at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kentucky Wildlife Center, 2571 Iron Works Pike, Georgetown, KY 40324.

As I recall from high school days, Rolfe was a heck of a football player. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him
