Busacker, Herbert A. - Lexington  
BUSACKER Herbert Arthur, 84, formerly of beautiful Bend, OR, and husband of Nancy Brown Adams Machilaski Busacker, died Sun, July 24, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. Born Jan 26, 1932 in Broadwater, NE, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Gertrude Plorin Busacker. Mr. Busacker was a 22 year veteran of the Air National Guard, serving in Alaska during the Korean War. He was a retired electrician and a 50 year member of the Elks Lodge. Survivors other than his wife include a daughter, Sheryl Gray (Jeff Brown), Gold Beach, OR; a son, Brian (Peggy) Busacker, Portland, OR and Pender Island, B.C. Canada; two step-sons, Lee and Tim Adams, Lexington, KY; four grandchildren, Sierra, Seth, Cara, and Kyle; four great grandchildren; four step - grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Buckley, Sacramento, CA; and sister-in-law, Frances Blanton, Paris, KY. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Ruth Busacker. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Portland, OR. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 1504 College Way, Lexington, KY 40502 or the Lexington Public Library, 140 E. Main St., Lexington, KY 40507. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. handling the arrangements.

CALLAWAY Charlene Ruth May, 82, of Lexington, KY passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Pine Meadows Healthcare. Charlene was born March 27, 1934 at Draffin, KY to the late Luther May and Delma Mays May. Besides her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Alec Adkins, one son, Danny Adkins and one sister, Virginia Rowe. Charlene is survived by one son, Lanny Ross Adkins of Lexington, KY and two sisters, Shelby Jean Rowe of Maumee, OH and Avonelle Phillips of Versailles, KY. Visitation will be from 6-10pm Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Elkhorn City, KY. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11am from the chapel with Steve Taylor. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
