Diana EPLING Obituary

EPLING Diana Lynn, 55, of Williamson, WV, formerly of Lexington, KY, died on Wed, Sep 8, 2010, at the Appalachian Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in South Williamson, KY. Born Dec 8, 1954, in Williamson, WV, she was the beloved daughter of the Helen Cleghon Epling of Williamson and the late Hal B. Epling, Jr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an uncle, Cecil Epling of Venice, FL. Diana was a 1973 graduate of Williamson High School. She was a also a graduate of West Virginia University. After obtaining a degree in journalism, she return to Williamson and worked as the news director at WBTH Radio in downtown Williamson. Diana later moved to Lexington, KY and resided there for 25 years. While living in Lexington, she worked as a merchandiser with Macy's Department Store. Diana was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williamson. Diana is survived by her loving mother, Helen; a brother, William Epling of Portland, OR; and two aunts, Mary Gregory of Columbus, OH and Ethel Mamora of Cincinnati, OH. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Sat evening, Sep 11, 2010, at Weaver Mortuary in West Williamson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Sun, Sep 12, 2010, at the mortuary. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Weaver Mortuary of West Williamson is serving the Epling family.

Remembering a dear college friend and sorority sister. I just heard of her passing and am very saddened. Mrs. Epling and Bill my thoughts and prayers are with you both.
