Wilma McCARTHY

McCARTHY Wilma, passed away at 98 on Jan 20, 2012. She was a resident of Alba, MI, Deland, FL and Lexington, KY. While in Deland, she donated 5,000 hours to Volusia Hospital Service. She is preceded in death by her husband Bus Walker in 1962, husband David McCarthy in 1985, and long time friend Fred Sherman. She is survived by: two children; Lou Ann Openo (Howard) of Landrum, SC and David Walker (Joyce) of Lexington, KY; a daughter-in-law, Betty McCarthy of Traverse City, MI; a grand daughter Karen Walker; and great grandchildren, Walker Buehler and Bella Maye Walker. Wilma was a professional seamstress and a bookkeeper. Her lengthy life was enjoyed by family and friends who shared her sports enthusiasm, her smile and sense of humor. Cremation has taken place.
