
Carrie Hall Wallace
Green, 91, widow of William (Billy) Gilbert Green, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Dover Manor Nursing Home in Georgetown, KY, where she made her home for the last 11 years. She was born August 1, 1921 in Georgetown where she remained a lifelong resident, to the late Dearborn Boon Wallace and the late Hallie Frances Marshall Wallace. Carrie was a 1939 graduate of Oxford High School, a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of Newtown Christian Church before transferring membership to Oxford Christian Church, where she was a member of the choir and the Christian Women's Fellowship. She also owned and operated Carrie's Antiques. Carrie was the loving mother to Donald "Donnie" William Green (Betty); Robert "Bobby" Wallace Green (Phyllis) and Jayne Forwood Green Wood (Larry). Other survivors include five grandchildren, Bobbi Cain (Mark), Lori Weeks, Brad Green, Jeremy Wood (Sarah and Andrew Daniels) and Sara Wood. Six great-grandchildren, Michael, Christopher and Lucas Weeks, Noah and Jacob Cain, and Hallee Green. Besides her parents, Carrie was preceded in death by four infant siblings, a brother, Agee Wallace, and a sister, Lucille Wallace True. Visitation will be held at Tucker, Yocum and Wilson Funeral Home, Georgetown, Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 4-8pm. Services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 2pm, by Reverend Wendy Wilson. Interment will follow in the Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brad Green, Mark Cain, Jeremy Wood, Michael Weeks, Christopher Weeks, Lucas Weeks, Noah Cain and Jacob Cain. Honorary bearers will be Pete and Christine Wells, James and Shirley Lancaster, Betty Brisbay, Billy Hanna, Durbin Wallace, Kay Wagoner, Sue Bush, Bobby Knox True, Jean Devers, Devonne Cowan and Beth Hafley. The Green Family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to all of her doctors and to all employees at Dover Manor Nursing Home for their friendship, excellent care and attention given to their mother.
