Carl was a wonderful man. I had the honor of working with him as a volunteer firefighter, at IBM and later as he visited my neighbor to work on antique tractors and other antique farm equipment. I used tell Carl how young he always looked. I couldn’t believe his age when he told me. He always looked younger than his years and always smiled and had a good word for everyone. I knew he was ill, but he didn’t let on how serious it was, Obviously, I hadn’t seen Carl in a year or two or I would have known of his passing. Once again I will always remember him as a great man. I always looked up to him, he was a great teacher.
I think of Carl often and I know he is missed terribly by his family and friends. I know in my heart he is right at home in heaven.
God Bless!

Dear Almgren Family,
We are so sorry to learn of your loss, especially so long after the fact. We knew Carl from our visits to Great Harvest Bread Store and later to the Panerra in Palamar. Your loved one was such a nice man and we really enjoyed talking and visiting with him. We pray that you will feel God's loving arms around you during this time of loss and sorrow.
Very sincerely,
Brent & Sarah Camden

My deepest sympathy to all of you. I will never forget Carl coming up the steps to the polo office to meet me after he heard Jim and i were dating. His first words to me were "I am Carl Almgren, Jim Gill's good friend, and I came to meet you." He was a good friend to Jim and to all who knew him. Rosalie Kerens Gill, Wellington, FL

My name is Mindy Sams and I work at Members Heritage. Carl was a delight and many times made my day seeing him walk through the door! I LOVED hearing his stories and my husband was also in the Navy and wished they could have gotten together and shared stories. My family knew who he was by my talking about him. I sent a card one time to him when I first switched branches because he was always on my mind. That never stopped, I prayed for him and thought about him often. I do hope his passing wasnt painful, and I know by his stories that he lived a good life. God was ready for him and it was time. I am truly sorry about your loss, but prayers are being lifted your way for strength during this time. Mrs. Algrem, your birthday is Saturday...I know that Carl is celebrating and you will feel him in your heart today and always!!
