Bobby Mills Obituary
MILLS CMSgt (Ret.) Bobby D., 87, died December 11, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Jeannie Matthews Mills, who survives. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ross Clark Mills and Viola Berry Mills, two brothers, James Paul Mills (Betty), Stacy Mills (Nancy), and Bobby's son, Bartt Tyson Mills and Bartt's wife, Linda Eaves Mills (Myers). Bobby was a combat veteran of WWII, serving at Omaha Beach head and Normandy, northern France on June 6, 1944 with the U.S. Navy. He later served in the U.S. Army during the occupation of Japan, and served overseas during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars with the U.S. Air Force. Bobby was also a Life Member of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA). He is survived by two sons, Dr. Wyatt J. Mills, and his wife Gwyn and two grandchildren Caleb J. Mills (Lauren) and Aleta Jean Mills all of Northbridge, MA.; Brett Carson Mills and his wife Dr. Leslie Lynn Mills; loving sister Ruth Azbill (Norvelle) and five brothers, Ross Mills, Jr. (Anita), Tom Mills (Betty), Ralph Mills (Rita), Bill Mills (Toni-Ann); one very special stepdaughter, Gina Lee, and her husband Allen Howard and their two children Rachel Perkins (Luke) and their children Vera Rain, and Opal (whom Bobby called "Mugsy"), and Alex Howard (whom Bobby called "The Great"). Bobby's father, mother and siblings were all from Pineville, KY. Bobby will be forever missed. Private arrangements will be conducted by Kerr Brothers Funeral Home and the Family. Memorial services to be conducted at a currently undetermined date which will be announced in the future, when his cremains will be interred at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY. In lieu of flowers, contributions to be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
