Charles Workman Obituary
WORKMAN Charles Clifford, 87, widower of Eva Margaret Rice Workman, died Sunday, April 6, 2014. Born in Kenova, WV, he was the son of the late William Earl and Catherine Robinson Workman. A graduate of Baylor University and the University of Nebraska, he was the former Director for the Department of Personnel for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and the Jerry Crouch Sunday School Class. A WWII veteran, he had served in the Navy and retired from the US Air Force after 20 years. He is survived by his children, Kathy Evans, Nicholasville, Mary Jean (Laurent) Jouet, David (Sara) Workman, both of Lexington, and Jason Workman, New York; sister, Patricia Minns, Ashland; grandchildren, Hilary (Jeremy) Armstrong, Courtney Evans, David Charles Workman, John Brooks Workman, Jean-Paul Jouet and Marguerite Jouet; one great- grandson, Jaxon Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his sister, Willena Taylor and brothers, Kenneth Workman and Keller Frank Workman. Funeral services will be 11:30am Thu at Milward-Man O' War, 1509 Trent Blvd. Burial will follow at 3:30pm Thu at the Catletts- burg Cemetery, Catlettsburg, KY. Visitation will be 6-8pm Wed. Memorials may be made to Broadway Baptist Church.
