LOUISA - Dallas Dewey Sammons, 87, of Prestonsburg, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in Louisa, KY. He was born May 6, 1926 in Prestonsburg, KY, a son of the late Dewey and Elva Branham Sammons. He was a retired Clerk for the United States Postal Service, United States WWII Army Veteran and a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Prestonsburg, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Denver Sammons of Hollywood, FL; grandson, James Neil Lester. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Ruby Faye Sammons of Prestonsburg, KY; two daughters, Rose (Jim) Lester of Louisa, KY; Dallas Faye Sammons of Morehead, KY; brother, Arliss (Priscilla) Sammons of Prestonsburg, KY; sisters, Evelyn Goble of Prestonsburg, KY; Ethel (Dean) Sammons Murray, also of Prestonsburg, KY; two grandchildren, Melanie (James) Sparks; Marc (Morgan) Lester. Funeral services will be conducted 2pm Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, Arnold Ave., Pres-tonsburg, KY, with Rev, Wayne Watts officiating. Burial will follow at the Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery, Prestonsburg, KY. Visitation will be 5-9pm Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Carter Funeral Home, Prestonsburg, KY. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the following organizations, Louisa United Methodist Church Building Fund, Cemetery Road, Louisa, KY 41230; Christian Social Services, P.O.
