KIDD Daniel Norman passed away December 2, 2012 at the Select Specialty Hospital, Tallahassee, FL after a lengthy illness. He was born April 5, 1941 in Portland, IN to Clarence and Dortha (Polley) Kidd. He was a 1959 graduate of Royerton High School, Muncie, IN, and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Indiana University in Religious Music. Mr. Kidd taught music in college in Tuscaloosa, AL, New Orleans, LA, Augusta and Ft. Valley, GA, and Lexington, KY. He owned the Kidd's Piano Service in Lexington for over 25 years. He excelled in piano and pipe organ and was well-known in the Muncie and Lexington areas for his playing. Mr. Kidd married Dr. Sandra Cheevers in 1988 who survives. Also surviving are his step-daughter, Stephanie Miller, two step-grandchildren, Di'Ja and Aaron David; sister Maryellen Storms (Ray) of Jacksonville, FL and brother, Hartley (JoAnn) of Anderson, IN, as well as 3 nephews, 1 niece and a great niece and nephew. He was predeceased by his parents and one great-nephew. A memorial service will be held at the St. Johns Episcopal Church, 210 N. Main St., Versailles, KY at 2:00 Wednesday, December 12.
