Obituary Condolences

LONG Maurice Hanley, 91, widower of Nancy Darland Long, passed away Thu, July 24, 2014 at his home. Born in Washington County, KY, he was a son of the late James I. and Maddie Long. Mr. Long was a World War II Army veteran, a retired heavy equipment operator for Codell Construction Company, and attended Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a member of Robert M. Sirkle Masonic Lodge #954 F&AM and the Oleika Shrine Temple. Survivors include two sons, Gerald (JoAnne) Long and Kevin (Amanda) Long; a daughter, Marcia (Kenny) Laughlin; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Jacob) Hibbs, Carrie (Bob) McCullough, Angie (Christian) Martinez, Kimberly (Sean) Lindsey, and Hanley Edward Long; two great-grandchildren, Madison Elizabeth Ahearn and Cameron Martinez; and a sister, Lavena Moody, Louisville, KY. Funeral services will be 2:30pm Sat, July 26, 2014 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by the Bro. Dan Russell with burial following in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Fri.
