DURRUM Richard Allen, Sr., 60, died Thu, May 23, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Lexington, KY. Born Dec 21, 1952 and a Lexington native, he was the son of Barbara A. Young Durrum and the late Chester B. Durrum. Mr. Durrum was a graduate of Lafayette High School and served in the U.S. Air Force in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He was a carpet salesman for Carpet One. Survivors other than his mother include a son, Richard Allen Durrum, Jr.; a sister, Debbie Durrum; a brother, Billy Durrum; a grandson, Collin Cooper Durrum; and two grand-daughters, Emma Lynn Durrum and Morgan Diane Durrum. Visitation will be held 5-8pm Sat at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Private burial will be held at a later date at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice at VA Hospital, 1101 Veterans Dr., Unit 27-2, Lexington, KY 40502.
