Samuel Black Jr. Obituary
BLACK Samuel, Jr., "Uncle Buddy" or "Uncle Tucker", husband of Mrs. Nannie Elizabeth Black, of 230 Campsie Place Lexington, KY, departed his walk of life after a long illness at his home on Thursday Aug 7, 2014. He was born Aug 4, 1928 to the late Loraine Harris Black and Samuel Black, Sr. He was born in Woodford Co. and lived most of his life in the Huntertown Community. He confessed Christ and joined the Simpson United Methodist Church in 1957 and served as Chairman of the Administrative Counsel until he was ill. He retired from the Proctor and Gamble Company as a Zone Coordinator after 35 years of service. He was a Korean War veteran. He is preceded in death by his sister Louise Turpin. He is survived by one brother William (Mary Etta) Riley and a sister Delores (Andrew) McIntyre; three daughters and two sons, Evangelist Diane (James) McDonald, Beverly Martin, Vernon Lee Black, James Lee Butler and Emma Lou Black; a host of grandchildren great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Service 12pm. Visit 10am-12pm at Simpson UMC, Versailles, Sat, Aug 16, 2014. Arr. Smith & Smith.
