BOEHLING Thomas Lawrence, Jr, 82, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014. He was born in Roanoke, VA in 1932. After graduation from Pikeville Academy in Pikeville, KY, he served in the US Navy for four years. He then attended Roanoke College for two years and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BS Degree in Psychology and a MS Degree in Public Health. He was a consultant for the State Department of Human Resources at Frankfort, KY before moving to Roanoke, VA where he served as Health Planning Associate with the S.W.VA. Health Systems Agency. He later was a Quality Assurance Specialist at R.A.A.P. in Radford, VA before his retirement in 1994. T.L. had a great love of dogs and also enjoyed being a ham radio operator. He was a member of the Blue Lodge at Wise, VA, the Kazim Shrine Temple, the Scottish Rite, the Ham Radio Club in Roanoke, and was an honorary member of the Kentucky Colonels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lawrence Boehling, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Coyner Boehling of Lexington, KY. He is survived by his wife, Rowena Holliday Boehling; son, Thomas Lee Boehling; grandson, Thomas Elliott Boehling of Radford, VA; sister, Saundra Boehling Lykins; brothers-in-law, Dr. Samuel S. Lykins of Lexington, KY, Henry H. H. Holliday, Jr. and wife, Kathryn, of King William, VA, and Thomas Mitchell Hudson of Roanoke, VA; and sisters-in-law, Marie Waid Holliday and Cheri Kaiser Holliday, both of Salem, VA. A graveside service for family and friends will be conducted on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 12 Noon at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem with the Chaplain Dave Vanderpool officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roanoke Valley SPCA at 1340 Baldwin Avenue, NE in Roanoke, VA 24012. The Boehling family is being served by John M.
