BRANNEN, Thomas Boyce, 85, died Feb 28 at Mayfair Manor, Lexington, KY. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Betty Sullivan Brannen, both of Maysville, KY. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Clay Ritchie Brannen, Maysville. Born in Mason Co., he was a son of the late Thomas Eugene and Agatha Ritchie Brannen. He was a WWII Navy veteran and a former owner of Ellington Farm Equipment in Maysville. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Maysville, and Christ the King, Lexington. He is survived by his daughter, Michaelene Brannen Cowgill and son-in-law, Bill; his grandsons, Thomas Michael Cowgill (Amanda), Richmond, VA, and Collin Brannen Cowgill, Lexington. He has one great-grandson, Seth Tobias Cowgill. He is also survived by his brother, M.J. Brannen, Jacksonville, NC, and sister-in-law, Nancy Brannen, Maysville, as well as many nieces and nephews. An avid baseball fan, he followed his passion watching his grandsons from T-ball to the major leagues. The family wishes to express their thanks to Mayfair Village and to their family at Mayfair Manor who have given their care, support and love to Boyce and Betty for many years. Visitation is Monday, March 4 at 1pm with service following at 2pm at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Private burial is Tuesday, March 5 at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maysville. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Bluegrass would be appreciated.
