LAWRENCEBURG - Cynthia J. Bales Peterson, age 41, of Lawrenceburg. A brave and courageous battle was fought by Cindy until September the 23rd when her spirit went to be with the Lord. She was at her home surrounded by her always loving husband, her 2 young sons, and her devoted family. She was born in Lexington, KY. She was co-owner of Liberty Tax Service; past president of the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce, and a member of St. Simeon Skete Church. She was a 1990 graduate of Woodford County High School, and received her Master's Degree in Equine Nutrition from the University of Kentucky. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, D. Brent Peterson; 2 sons, Samuel Wolfe Peterson and James Lucas Peterson, all of Lawrenceburg; her mother, Joan E. Fields Markwell, and her husband Denny; father and mother-in-Law, E. Win-ford and Judy Peterson, Pembroke, KY; brother, Kris (Christina) Fields, Louisville; sisters, Ashley Gentry, Law-renceburg, and Tiffany Bales, Morehead; grandparents, Burnice and Josephine Fields, Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, James Samuel Bales, and her cousin, Melissa Fields. Funeral serv-ices 11am Thursday, Sep-tember 26, 2013 at First Christian Church with Father Seraphim Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visit-ation 4-8pm Wednesday at Gash Memorial Chapel.
