BOONEVILLE - Glenn Brandenburg, 63, of Booneville, KY went to his heavenly home on Dec 19, 2012 at the Compassionate Care Center, Richmond, KY after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born at Oneida, KY on March 28, 1949. Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Ance Brandenburg and three brothers, Willis Gene, Curtis Ray and Ricky Brandenburg. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Long Brandenburg, Booneville, KY, his son Brian Keith and wife Chastity Shelton Brandenburg and one grandson, Brian Casey Brandenburg all of Richmond, KY. His mother, Callie Fox D'Antino, Beattyville, KY, three sisters, Linda Chrisman and husband Willard of Beattyville, KY, Shelia McKinney and husband James of Booneville, KY, Rosemary Johnson and husband Michael of Michigan, two brothers Garry Brandenburg and wife Faye, Linville "Bubby" Brandenburg and wife Tanya all of South Carolina, his father- and mother-in-law, Jack and Genevieve Long of Booneville, who loved him as a son, several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Glenn was a deacon and member of The First Baptist Church of Booneville, KY. He was an active member of The Owsley County Sportsman's Club of Booneville, KY. Because of his illness he had to leave his job with Fed/Ex Freight, Lexington, KY where he made numerous friends at work and also throughout the counties that he delivered freight. Visitation will be at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home on Dec 27, 2012 from 6-9pm. Celebration of Life services will be at The First Baptist Church, Booneville, KY on Dec 28, 2012 at 2pm. Burial will be at The Brandenburg Family Cemetery in Beattyville, KY.
