Guy Walter LEHMAN

LEHMAN Guy Walter, 86, beloved husband of Gloria Ann Lehman, passed away Sun morning, March 28, 2010, in Charlotte, NC. The relatives and friends of Guy Lehman are invited to attend his Memorial service on Wed, April 7, 2010 in J.Henry Stuhr, Mount Pleasant Chapel at 1pm. A celebration of life reception will be held after the service. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 12:30pm until time of the service. Dr. Lehman was born Sep 21, 1923 in Walkerton, IN, son of the late George and Grace Lehman. He was awarded a purple heart and two bronze stars as an Army PFC in World War II. He earned his PhD in physics at Purdue University and worked for Atomics International and The North American Science Center in CA. He retired Professor Emeritus of Physics from the University of Kentucky in 1990. He was loved by family and friends for his kind heart and dry wit. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Lehman of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two daughters, Mary Anne Larkin of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Kimberly Lehman-Johnson of Charlotte, NC; one son, Robert Lehman of Carmel, IN; and many loving grandchildren.
