SHAFER Rosetta Colman, 83, widow of the Ivan E. Shafer, died Sat, Jan 5, 2013 at Central Baptist Hospital. Born July 18, 1929 in Brownsville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Barney and Gladys Roundtree Colman. Mrs. Shafer retired from the Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot where she was a systems Analyst. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Terry Shafer and Dale (Teresa) Shafer, both of Lexington; and three grandchildren, Jennifer (Brent) Chumbley, Stephanie (Jamie) Plummer and Chris Shafer. In addition to her late husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Shafer. Funeral services will be 2:30pm Tue at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Mon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Parkway Baptist Church, 1915 North Broadway, Lexington, KY 40505.
