GEORGETOWN - Otis Wells, 97, widower of Eula Mae Goosey Wells, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 in Georgetown. He was a member of Gano Baptist Church and was a self-employed General Contractor. He was born on February 26, 1917 in Estill County, Kentucky to the late Ben and Paulina Metcalf Wells. He is survived by his sons; Harold (Fran) Wells, Edward (Brenda) Wells and Steve (Ann) Wells, all of Georgetown, daughters; Barbara Sanders of Union, Janet (Randy) Turk of Lexington, Barbara Kay Clark of Nicholasville and Vicky (Jody) Courtney of Midway, a number of grandchilden, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter; Carol Cox Haney, six brothers, one sister and his second wife; Shirley Willis. Services will be 1pm, Monday, July 7, 2014 at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Wells officiating. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jonathan Wells, Doug Wells, Kelly Wells, Brad Mullins, Charles Clark, Bob Sanders, Chris Wells and Jeff Stone. Honorary Pallbearers are; Jake Mullins, Blake Courtney and Rick Sanders. Visitation will be 5-8pm, Sunday, July 6 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US Highway 62-E, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
