HEBRON William B., Sr., "Bill", 94, died Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Highgate Senior Living in Bozeman, Montana. Bill was born January 9, 1920 in Huron, South Dakota. He married LuLu Marion Gade on November 8, 1941 in Bismarck, North Dakota. Shortly, thereafter, on April 13, 1942, he enlisted in the Army Air Corp during World War II and was honorably discharged on January 19, 1946. Upon returning from the war, Bill bought a Stearman bi-plane, which he later traded for an Aeronca Champion and started Aerial Weed Control. In January 1959, he bought the first of many Bell helicopters and established Hebron Air Service. In addition to aerial crop spraying and power line patrol, the business provided flight instruction in helicopter, single and multi-engine fixed-wing aircraft, and instrument pilot certification. Bill also was an aircraft and power mechanic and provided inspection authorization for aircraft. After selling his business in 1982, he continued to work part-time until his retirement. Bill was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, boating, and also woodworking. He is survived by his two children, Cynthia Clark (Gene Phillips) of Georgetown, Kentucky and William B. (Deb) Hebron, Jr., of Bozeman, Montana; as well as four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Erwin, and mother, Pansy; his wife, LuLu; and his brother, Robert. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held Friday, August 22 at 3:30pm at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel, 113 South Willson Ave., Bozeman, MT 59715. There will also be a service, to be announced, in his honor at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron, South Dakota. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church Pew Restoration Fund, 688 Dakota Avenue South, Huron, SD 57350.
