Earl Osten

WILMORE - Earl Thomas Osten, 77, husband of Barbara Jean Bruner Osten, passed Wednesday, April 19, 2017. He was born June 6, 1939 in Lexington, KY to the late Ralph and Bernice Owens Osten. Earl was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, the Jessamine County Beef Cattle Association and was a Army Veteran. He had a green thumb, growing vegetables and flowers, liked to fish and was a avid UK basketball fan. His favorite thing to do was going to his grandchildren's activities including horse shows and baseball. Additional family survivors are his daughter, Jennifer Lapasnick, two grandchildren, Faith and Jadon Lapasnick, a brother, David Osten and other family members. Funeral Service will be 11am Tue at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Don Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8pm at the church. Bearers will be Jadon Lapasnick, Will Pettit, Les Hurt, Sean McMenama, Robby McMenama and Michael Bowman. Honorary Bearers will be Raymond Lee, Ernest Lancaster and the Jim Smith Sunday School Class.
