Obituary Condolences

COLEMAN Howard P. III, "Howie", went to be with the Lord on Jan 30, 2009 at his residence after a long battle with cancer. Born May 18, 1964, he was the son of Howard P. Coleman, Jr. and Connie McGuire Coleman. Howie was a graduate of Tates Creek High School class of 1982. He served proudly in the U.S. Army and was a Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He was self-employed. He was a member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by both parents; his brother, Jeffrey A. Coleman (Tara); and his grandmother, Margaret McGuire. Howie was an uncle to four nephews, Josh, Jeff II, Aaron, and Shane. Other survivors include Wanda Holland (Robert), Jean Simpson (Wilbur), Darla Meyers (John), Mel McGuire (April), Margaret Fite (Steve), Ray McGuire (Jackie), all of Lexington, KY, Carol Fletcher (Dennis), CA, Ron McGuire (Dorothy), LA, Mary Ellen Grigsby (Eddie), Tucker, GA, Shelby Norris, Louisville, KY, Sherrie Deal (Eric), Stone Mountain, GA, Norman Coleman (Charlene), NY; and many cousins and friends. Howie enjoyed playing his guitar, drums, and fishing. He was a kind and good hearted person, especially for people in need. He was truly loved by all. He will be missed. We are at peace knowing he is with God. A celebration of life will be Sat, Feb 7, 2009 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Lex., KY from 4-8pm for family and friends. His remains will be cremated. No service is planned. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lex., KY 40504.
