GERSON Lawrence Michael "Larry", 48, died unexpectedly on Sun, May 6, 2012. Loving husband of Ida Denney Gerson and beloved father of Brian Gerson and David Gerson. Larry was born July 5, 1963 in Columbus, OH to Dr. Kenneth L. Gerson and Alberta Samplinger Gerson. A 1989 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Architecture, he was employed by CMW Architects. Larry was a lover of nature, and enjoyed mountain biking, scuba diving and kayaking. He was also a volunteer with Boy Scout Troop 220. Larry was also an active member of Temple Adath Israel, serving on the Temple Board and various committees. In addition to his wife of 25 years, his father, and his sons, Larry is survived by his sister, Dr. Arlene Gerson "Cooky", of Baltimore, MD; and a niece, Hadass V. Gerson. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Alan Gerson. Services will be 11:30am Wed at Temple Adath Israel, conducted by Rabbi Marc Kline. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30-7:30pm Tue at Milward-Man O' War, 1509 Trent Blvd., and after 10:30am Wed at Temple Adath Israel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or Temple Adath Israel Education Fund.
