STIGALL, Serita Karen, 48, went home to God Tuesday morning, October 30th, surounded by members of her family. Born in Somerset, Kentucky, "Rita" was the daughter of Atheen and Leroy Stigall. She graduated from Bryan Station High School, and subsequently worked for 28 years at Henry Clay High. At the time of her death, she was Campus Foreman at HCHS. To know Serita was to know a caring, generous, spirited woman of many talents. In her "spare" time over the years, she was a licensed practical nurse, the proprietor of Serita's Styling Salon, and the owner of Serita's Cleaning Service. Rita was devoted to her large and extended family, to her co-workers, and to her many, many friends, all of whom mourn her passing and will miss her remarkable presence in their lives. She is survived by her parents; her spouse, Joshua Jones; her two sons, Joshua (wife Melissa), and Jamarr; her brother Michael, her cousins James R. Gray III and Christopher G. Wade, a host of nieces and nephews, and special family friends, Bob and Mary Ellen Slone. Visitation will be from 5-9pm on Friday, November 2nd, at Kerr Brothers on Harrodsburg Rd. The funeral service will be at noon on Saturday, November 3rd at East Second Street Christian Church, Pastor Don Gillett. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Park.
