OSBORNE Billie Jean (Branham), 79, peacefully passed away Wednesday morning, February 13, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington after a short illness. In death, as in life, she spent her last days surrounded by the people she loved and who loved her. Billie was a devoted caregiver to her family and friends and nothing gave her more pleasure than to lend a helping hand. To those who called her mother, sister, Aunt B or friend, there was never a doubt that Billie would be there to care and support them in time of need or celebration. Her life on the horse farm where she lived gave her great pleasure; foaling mares, playing with the grandchildren, shopping with her sisters and going to church, Billie's days were full. Billie was a member of the Christ Centered Church in Lexington. She was born April 1, 1933, to Noah Branham and Ruth (Miller) Branham of Robinson Creek, Kentucky, who are both deceased. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Denise Gabbard and her husband, Don McNamee; six sisters, Lexie Justice and Emma Moore, of Lexington, Florine Damron, of Robinson Creek, Patsy Wright and Patty Brewer, of Dorton, Lois Ann Maynard of Ypsilanti, Michigan; and one brother, Noah Branham , Jr. and his wife Pearl, of Robinson Creek; a host of nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Howard "Buzzy" Kinney of Lexington. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gracie Bartley and Gladys Roberts of Virgie. Visitation will be held at the Christ Centered Church in 2275 Eastland Parkway, Lexington on Sunday, February 17, at 4pm and a memorial services held at 7pm the same evening at the church with Pastor Tommy Howard and Assistant Minister Kenneth Cropper officiating. Interment will be the following day at the Lexington Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Christ Centered Church Building Fund at 2275 Eastland Parkway, Lexington, Kentucky 40505. Kerr Brothers, Harrodsburg Rd will be assisting the family.
