ADAIR Annell Baxter, 79, of Versailles, formerly of Lexington, wife of Harry E. Adair, Sr., for 63 years, died December 30, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Lawrenceburg, KY. A very loving and devoted wife and mother, she was born Jan 1, 1934 in Lawrenceburg, KY to the late Amos and Blanche McMichael Baxter. She was a graduate of Crump Commerce College in Lexington. She started her career as a personal secretary to attorneys Garvis Kincaid and Frank Trimble. She then was employed by General Motors and retired there after 33 years. She went on to manage Automotive Finance Corporation, then worked three years at ADESA in Lexington. She was a member of Woodford Community Christian Church in Versailles. Survivors other than her husband, Harry E. Adair; a son Harry E. Adair, Jr. (Debbie), Danville, IN; a daughter, Julia Ann Barnett (Kenny) of Lawrenceburg, KY; four grandchildren, Kenny (Lindsey) Barnett Jr, of Lawrence-burg, KY and Lindsey (Garrett) Frank of Brandenburg, KY, Joshua David Adair and Jess Easton of Danville, IN; six great-grandchildren, Ty and Kara Barnett of Lawrenceburg, Ava and Will Frank of Brandenburg, KY, Asher and Roman Easton of Danville, IN; a sister-in-law, Edna Baxter of Lexington and Betty Baxter of Law-renceburg, KY; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three infant children, Jack Leonard, Gina Blanche and Daniel Hardin Adair; brothers Ralph Baxter of Lexington and Garland Baxter of Lawrenceburg, Bobby Baxter of Cincinnati, OH, and a sister, Helen Gregory of Lexington. Services will be 1pm Fri at Milward-Southland. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thu. Casket bearers will be Kenneth Barnett, Jr., Joshua Adair, Garrett Frank, Steve Adair, Tommy Adair and Bobby Dunn. Honorary pallbearers will be Jean Hackney, Joyce Gabbard, Susan Roe, Hobart, Barbara Burkhead and Chloe Malone. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.
