Thomas Botkin

BOTKIN Thomas Earl (Tom), 75, husband of 54 years to Nancy C Botkin, died on August 26th from complications from Alzheimer's disease. He was the son of the late William Lee and Pearl Cable Botkin. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Botkin and his wife, Sylvia. Tom served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Southwestern Tobacco Co. as a senior vice president. He was in the first senior class of Bryan Station High School in Lexington. He loved to fish and play golf with his sons-in-law. He also loved his garden and working in his yard. Tom is survived by his wife; his daughter, Barbara (Russ) Cassidy and daughter Valerie (John) Parbey and four grandchildren, Riley Nicole Parbey, Beau Thomas Parbey, Tabitha and Camryn Cassidy; his brother, James (Janet) and his sister-in-law, Pat Anderson. He was lovingly cared for at Memory Care of Naples and also received wonderful care from Avow Hospice of Naples. Tom was also cared for by his private duty caretaker, Cliff Bravo. We will have a memorial gathering on Sunday, September 24th from 2- 4pm at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Road, Frankfort, KY (US 60 between Versailles and Frankfort).
