Joseph Michael "Joey" Hatfield, 30, beloved son of Ermal Hatfield and Debbie Autry, stepson of Shawn Autry, and brother of Patrick Autry, departed this earth on December 10, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital East. Joey is survived by a special stepfather, Joe Ford and a fiancée, Isabelle Coy. Joey was a graduate of Henry Clay High School. Joey will be missed by all who knew him. Joey was described by a friend as the kindest, gentlest soul she had ever met. Joey had a special sense of humor he shared with all who knew him. Joey loved fishing and had a special affinity for all animals. Joey touched the lives of all he met. His kindness and pureness of heart lingers on in the memories of all who loved him. Joey is survived by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Eloise McCoy and paternal grandparents, Mary Hatfield and the late Opie Hatfield. Joey is also survived by best friend, Jamie Griffin and a large family with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Please send donations to the Lexington Humane Society, 1600 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington, KY 40510. Visitation will be 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road by Rev. Thomas McCoy and Rev. Dewitt Furrow. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Blake Johnson, Joshua Fried, Jamie Griffin, Stephen Autry, Matt Dotson, Scott Hatfield, Brandon Hatfield, Jeremy Hatfield, Deric Hatfield, Jason Nichols, Barrett Hawkins, Carlos Loza, D.J. McCoy and Jason Vickers.
