Mueller, Orville E.
Orville E. Mueller, 88, of Luxemburg died early Saturday morning, April 27, 2013. He was born in the town of Montpelier to the late William and Johanna (Zahn) Mueller. On May 24, 1947, he married Lorraine V. Last at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Together they enjoyed travel and dancing. They were married for 54 1/2 years when she preceded him in death November 24, 2001. Orville was a licensed cheesemaker for ten years, then farmed for thirty years during which time he drove milk truck for Krohn Dairy. For 22 years he worked at Luxemburg Motor Company until his retirement in 2005.
Survivors include his four children, Yvonne (Larry) Janda, Bellevue; Dennis (Jane) Mueller, Algoma; Gayle Miller (Mike Traverso), Colorado; Mark (Anita) Mueller, Luxemburg; eleven grandchildren, Rachel (Brian) Patrycia, Michelle Mueller, Cindy Mueller, Brenda (Matt) Bley, Lacey (Nathan) Tomczuk, Brock (Teresa) Halstead, Tyler Mueller, Fred Jr. (Amy) Miller, Jessica Mueller, Adam (Angela) Mueller, Andrew (Stephanie) Mueller; seventeen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Orville was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, Elmer Mueller, town of Montpelier; five sisters and five brothers in law; Clara and Fred Howard, Adeline and Milton Cherveny, Elda and George Plos, Frieda and Walter Siegmund, one sister in law and one brother in law; Dorothy and Erwin Kratz.
Friends called at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013. Parish prayer service was 7:30 p.m., Monday. Visitation continued between 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Funeral was 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Daniel Grams officiating.
