Donald E. Duescher, age 77 of the Town of Montpelier died peacefully after many years of heart disease on Thursday evening, May 2, 2013 at Bellin Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 2, 1935 on the home farm in Montpelier to the late Gustave and Myra (Bruemmer) Duescher.
He married Becky Kuehl on January 23, 1971.
Donald operated the home farm for over fifty-five years. He also operated Duescher Repair, repairing automotive and farm equipment.
Donald was a member of the Wisconsin Steam Engine Club and he enjoyed showing his 1914 Case tractor. He loved visiting with his friends and neighbors in his shop.
Survivors include his wife: Becky; one son: Mike, Luxemburg; two daughters and one son-in-law: Megan and Jeremy Blahnik, Luxemburg; Marissa Duescher and significant other, Taylor Worley, Green Bay; one loving granddaughter: Danielle Duescher; one brother and sister-in-law: Ortwin and Janice (Kadletz) Duescher, Green Bay; a sister-in-law: Marion Duescher, Manitowoc; three brothers-in-law: Patrick (Sheryl) Rayome, Kewaunee; Ottmar (Kathy) Kuehl, Kewaunee; John (Mary) Kuehl, Luxemburg; two sisters-in-law: Elaine (Scott) DeMarb, Sturgeon Bay; Karen Kuehl, Two Creeks and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ottmar and Ruth Kuehl; one brother: Gustav Duescher; a brother-in-law: Robert Kuehl and a sister-in-law: Patricia Rayome.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. at the Buchanan funeral home Burial was in Riverview Cemetery followed by a funeral lunch.
