Ronald Schneider, 70, Algoma, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Aurora Baycare with his family by his side.
He was born April 16, 1942 in Algoma to the late Raymond and Mabel (Berthold) Schneider. He married Cleda Massart on January 3, 1983 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Maplewood.
Ron served in the US Army and Army Reserves and was employed at and retired from Georgia Pacific. After he retired, he worked part time at WS Packaging. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, working on his old car, spending time with his family and his dog, Bailey.
Ron is survived by his wife, Cleda; siblings, Bernice Krueger, Louise Paplham Pionke(John), Jim(Arlene) Schneider, Linda(Lee) Erickson, Dennis(JoAnn) Schneider; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Randy(Toni) Massart, LaDeana(Leo) DeClark, Lester Paape Sr., Carl Waterstreet, Carol Clark, Mary Harris; godchildren, Sandy Hoffman and Michael Schneider; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mabel; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Bernadine Massart; sisters and brothers, Betty Paape, Shirley Waterstreet, Patricia, Robert, Mark and Patrick Schneider; brothers-in-law, Robert Paphlam and Russ Younk.
Friends called at Wiesner-Massart Funeral Home, Algoma on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 3 to 6pm with Funeral Service at 6pm at the funeral home. Visitation continued after the Funeral Service until 8pm. Pastor Kevin Dembinski led the Funeral Service. Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma on Thursday.
