David Wayne Addison, age 52, passed away peacefully in his home on December 5, 2013 in Kingwood, TX. He was born February 12, 1961 in Longview, TX to George and Ruthie Addison. David graduated from Westbury Sr. High School in 1980. After graduation he attended Houston Community College. He worked for Houston Shell & Concrete and then American Bank before deciding his true calling was in Law Enforcement. In May 1990, David graduated from Houston Community College System Law Enforcement Academy, graduating #3 in his class and receiving the Top Gun Award. July 1990, David was sworn in as a Deputy for the Harris County Constable Department, Pct. 5, where he served the people of Houston and Harris County for over 23 years. In November 1995, David received the honor for Outstanding Contribution in Apprehension of Bank Robbers Award from the Gulf Coast Criminal Investigators Association. After David accepted his calling into the ministry in 2005, he attended the College of Biblical Studies in Houston. David and Teresa joined Woodridge Baptist Church in August 1998. He served as a Deacon at Woodridge and was ordained as a Minister on May 5, 2013. David loved singing as a tenor in the Adult Choir and enjoyed serving as a Children's Sunday School Director. He also was a Stephen Minister. For the past 13 years, he would use his vacation time to go with the students to Summer Youth Camp and Mission Trips. This had become the highlight of his year. David had gone many places on mission trips to deliver the message of Christ. He lived his life as a fully devoted follower of Christ, being on mission daily.

Above all that David did, he was most known to be a loving and caring husband to his wife of 31 years, Teresa M. Myers Addison, and father to his daughter, Lauren. David and Teresa were high school sweethearts since July 1979 and married September 11, 1982. They were married 13 years before being blessed with their daughter, Lauren. She is now a senior in high school and will attend the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in the Fall of 2014. David was so proud of his little girl and was so excited about her upcoming graduation.
