SNOW HILL - Mrs. Betty Jean Hamm Roberson, born February 10, 1957, in Snow Hill, North Carolina, died with dignity and grace surrounded by her family and beloved dog, Pebbles, on Monday, September 16, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sadie and Jesse Hamm. She leaves behind her loving husband, Roy T. "R.T." Roberson; son David Roberson; sisters Patricia Hudson (Banks) of Lexington, Kentucky, Wanda Perry, Connie Hamm, Jeanie Smith (Charlie), all of Snow Hill, and Barbara Perry (Mike) of Kinston. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and loyal friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service. Interment will follow at the Snow Hill Cemetery. She graduated from the Greene Central High School and was employed by Electrolux in Kinston. Betty Jean was a lover of animals and enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Barbara and Jeannie...I am so sorry to hear about Betty!! My heart just ached when I heard about her passing!! She was a wonderful friend and Co-worker. I can stil see her sweet smile! She will be missed by everyone @ Electrolux. If there is anything you or the family needs please let me know!
