Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, Pink Hill. He is survived by his sister, Helen Hobgood Jones of Pink Hill.

SNOW HILL | Alexander Joyner, 65, of 1304 SE 2nd St., died Monday, Feb. 23, 2015. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Don Brown Funeral Home, Ayden. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his brother, Willie Joyner of Snow Hill; and sisters, Melba Griggs of Winterville, and Beverly Swindell of Greenville. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with visitation following the service. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill. Earl is survived by his wife, Doris Stroud King of the home; daughters, Wendy Taylor of Beulaville; and Pamela King Hill of Pink Hill; brother, Don King of Kinston; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 28, at Swinson Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Joe Williams Cemetery. Survivors include his mother, Essie Herring of Kinston; brothers William Herring and Marvin Herring of Maryland, James Herring of New Jersey; sisters Carrie Turnage of Virginia, Nora Miller of Washington, D.C. and Patricia Thomas of Kinston. The family is receiving friends at 611 Daughety Road. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Nobles, Inez Koonce*  
TRENTON | Inez Koonce Nobles, 91, of Trenton, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 23, 2015. She was a longtime member of Trenton United Methodist Church, treasurer of Trenton United Methodist Women, and a member of Trenton Chapter #86 Order of the Eastern Star. Inez retired in 1983 from the United States Department of Agriculture Jones County Farm Service Agency after 37 years of dedicated service. Inez's service to farmers and colleagues afforded her some very special friendships through the years. One of which lasted her through her final days. Kay Heath of Trenton, co-worker and long time friend, was by her side. Inez was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Zora Koonce; husbands Malvern Banks and Joseph Nobles; her son Kent Banks; her brother Murray Koonce; and her sister, Zora Harriett. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Mallard (Allen) of Trenton; grandchildren David (Julia) Mallard, Amy (Rocky) Coffey, Natalie Porter and Meagan Banks; great-grandchildren Faith Mallard, Kaelyn Mallard, Evan Andrews, Garris Andrews, Eli Coffey, Olivia Porter, Sophia Porter, and Charleigh Banks. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Trenton United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Trenton Cemetery.
