ALBERTSON - Dixie Lee Radford Murphy, 85, of 588 Piney Grove Road, died on Monday, November 12, 2012. She was a proud homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She was a member of Friendship F.W.B. Church in Pink Hill. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Pink Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Friendship F.W.B. Church, Pink Hill, with the Rev. Don Craft officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Murphy. She is survived by three sons, J. Allen Murphy and wife Jane, of New Bern, Grayling C. Murphy of Albertson, and T. Morris Murphy and wife Linda, of Albertson; eight grandchildren, Jason Murphy and wife Lori, Jennifer M. Sumner and husband Monty, Bradley Murphy and wife Mary Anne, Justin Murphy and wife Julie, Lindsay Murphy, Jordan Murphy, Danielle Kerger and Chad Wallace; five great-grandchildren, Derrick Murphy, Dillan Murphy, Jenna Sumner, Adeline Murphy and Bentley Murphy; two brothers, Albert Radford and Bruce Radford of Goldsboro; and two sisters, Addie Lovick and Betty Parks of Snow Hill.
