Gail B. Clark

SNOW HILL - Mrs. Gail Beaman Clark, 67, died Saturday evening, December 28, 2013. A native of Greene County, she was born October 27, 1946, the daughter of Noah S. and Mollie Kilpatrick Beaman. Prior to returning to the family farm where she was reared outside of Snow Hill, Mrs. Clark lived many years in Raleigh and New Bern. She was a member of Free Union Free Will Baptist Church and an active part of the Mary Ellen Shirley Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 3, at Free Union FWB Church with the Rev. Kelley Smart, the Reverend Tony Glass and the Reverend Richard Clark officiating. Interment will follow at the Snow Hill Cemetery. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, E. Lanier Clark; a sister, Becky Creech; and brother-in-law, Harry Creech. Her surviving family includes her son, Dail Reed of New Bern; step-children, Jan Piner of Bridgeton, Daniel Clark of New Bern, Alan Clark of Florence, S.C., Elmer Clark of Athens, Ga., and Richard Clark of Oklahoma; a nephew, Tommy Creech of Kinston; and a special friend, Frankie Glass of Snow Hill. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, January 2, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service and other times at Mrs. Clark's residence.
