Winterville - John Kyle Rouse, 54, passed from this earth in the early morning on Friday, May 17, 2013. Kyle was born August 24, 1958 to Sara Brewer Rouse of Kinston and the late Nelson Kaye Rouse. Kyle graduated from North Lenoir High School and Lenoir Community College. Kyle worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department of Lenoir Memorial Hospital. He possessed a wry sense of humor and was an avid fisherman. Kyle was a Civil War buff and a fan of both NASCAR and Duke basketball.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 3 p.m. from Fairview Cemetery, La Grange with Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.
In addition to his mother, Kyle is survived by two children, John Kyle Rouse II of Kinston and Paige Rouse Sammons and husband Andrew of Wilmington; brother, Lance Kelly Rouse of Washington; granddaughter, Palyn Elizabeth Sammons; nephew, Tyler Jackson Rouse; niece, Holly Kaye Rouse; and his sweetheart, Claudia Rudd of Winterville. In addition to his father, Kyle was preceded in death by a brother, Lyndon Townes Rouse.
