KINSTON – William Earl Waller, 71, passed away March 29, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Waller and Harriet Elizabeth Waller. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dr. George Kalfas. He was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, where he worked for 33 years and Curtis Construction Company, where he worked for 18 years. He was a member of Jaycees, BPOE 740, SCV and was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, sailing, and history. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Anne Curtis Waller; daughters, Caroline Waller Kalfas of Woolwich Township, NJ, Mary Louise Waller of Garner, Billie Waller Carmen and husband Eugene B. of Wilmington; brother, James Waller of Kinston; grandchildren, Anastasios Kalfas, Nikolaos Kalfas, William Carmen, Elizabeth Carmen; brother-in law, Robert C. Curtis and wife Faye F. Curtis and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Rosary will be held at Monday, March 31, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with visitation to follow. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Tuesday, April, 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with father Miguel Arturo Cabra officiating. The burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
